Reigning U.S. all-around champion Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) won her second consecutive Rhythmic Challenge senior all-around title, while 2024 Junior Pan American Championships junior team gold medalist Alicia Liu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) took the junior title this past weekend in Lake Placid.

Keys repeats as senior champion

Keys scored a combined 112.100 in the senior all-around to again claim the gold medal, also winning the hoop (28.250), ball (27.350) and clubs (29.450) titles and securing ribbon bronze with a 27.050. Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) repeated as senior all-around silver medalist with an overall 108.700, also earning the ribbon title with a 27.550. 2024 Senior Pan American Championships team silver medalist Jaelyn Chin (Aventura, Fla./Bessonova’s school) was the all-around bronze medalist.

In senior group competition, the Senior National Group competed in various routine configurations; the five-ribbon title (17.550) was won by Goda Balsys (Northbrook, Ill.), Anabella Hantov (Chicago, Ill.), Greta Pavilonyte (Buffalo Grove, Ill./, Alaini Spata (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Kalina Trayanov (Deerfield, Ill.). Balsys, Spata, Trayanov and Anastasia Slipets (Wyckoff, N.J.) won the three balls and two hoops group title (20.200). Also competing as Senior National Group team members were Lorelei D’Angelo (Deerfield, Ill.), Deanna Georgieva (Redmond, Wash.), Kristina Lee (Woodridge, Ill.), Elizabeth Semenova (Cumming, Ga.) and Natalia Ye-Granda (San Diego, Calif.).


Liu takes up junior mantle

Liu was best among the juniors, putting up a 100.450 to win the all-around gold medal, also taking the ball (24.800) and ribbon (25.350) titles and the hoop (25.250) and clubs (25.050) silver medals. The 2024 U.S. junior all-around champion, Natalia de la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics), won all-around silver with a 98.000, also claiming clubs gold with a 25.100. Junior Pan American Championships team and clubs champion Dawn Kim (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) secured all-around bronze with a combined 96.300 and the hoop title with a 26.050.

The Burlo Gymnastics group of Sasha Kuliyev (Granada hills, Calif.), Nina Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Leyla Kukhmazova (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Alana Hirota (West Hills, Calif.) and Ziah Khan (Irvine, Calif.) took five hoops gold with a 23.750. The second Burlo group of Kuliyev, Keys, Kukhmazova, Katerina Levit (Granada hills, Calif) and Katherine Roytman (Chatsworth, Calif.) won five clubs gold with a 21.850.

Results from the event will help determine international assignments for the 2025 season.



Senior Group
