RIO DE JANEIRO (June 20, 2026) – The U.S. junior men’s and women’s rosters combined to win 13 medals Saturday in Brazil, bringing the junior total from the 2026 Pan American Championships to 17.

Eight of the delegation’s 13 medals from Saturday came from the women, with Addalye VanGrinsven (Champlin, Minn./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) picking up half of those medals alone during apparatus competition.

VanGrinsven medaled on all four women’s apparatuses, winning silver on vault (13.383; 13.700, 13.066) and balance beam (12.500), and bronze on floor exercise (12.633) and uneven bars (12.166).

Vivi Crain (Blue Springs, Mo./World Champions Centre) topped the balance beam podium with a gold-medal-winning 12.900, while Sydney Williams (Frisco, Texas/Metroplex Gymnastics) took the uneven bars title with a 13.033.

Amia Pugh-Banks (Newport News, Va./World Class Gymnastics) was the vault champion with a 13.800 (14.100, 13.500) and tied for gold on floor with a 12.900.

On the men’s side, Maksim Kan (Muskego, Wis./Salto Gymnastics Center) and Ori Reilly (Windermere, Fla./Gymnastics USA) each secured two apparatus medals Saturday afternoon to make up for four out of the five medals won by the American men.

Kan was a double silver medalist on pommel horse (12.766) and still rings (12.033), while Reilly won silver on horizontal bar (12.533) and bronze on parallel bars (12.733).

Hunter Simpson (Palmetto, Fla./EVO Gymnastics) secured the final medal for the men with a silver on parallel bars with his score of 12.833.

Also in action for the U.S was Anthony Ruscheinsky (Summit, Wis./Salto Gymnastics Center), who finished fifth in vault (12.933; 13.933, 11.933) and seventh on high bar (11.566).

The 2026 Pan American Championships conclude Sunday, June 21 with senior apparatus finals, set to kick off at 8:35 a.m. ET. Results can be followed on sporttech.io with streaming available on YouTube.
