U.S. juniors Rebecca Sereda of Staten Island, N.Y., Jazzy Kerber of Highland Park, Ill., Megan Kincaid of Los Angeles, Calif., and Polina Kozitskiy of Fountainville, Pa., have combined to produce the best junior world-level results in U.S. history this season. Each finished in the top eight at a World Cup Junior Tournament. Sereda just finished fifth in the all-around at the Minsk (Belarus) World Cup Junior Crystal Rose Tournament, her best international finish this season. Here’s a list of the junior world cup finishes, in reverse chronological order.

  • Minsk (Belarus) World Cup Junior Crystal Rose Tournament: Sereda – fifth in the all-around.
  • 2010 Pearls of St. Petersburg (Russia) World Cup Junior Tournament: Kozitskiy – fifth in ball, sixth in hoop and clubs, and seventh in the all-around; Kerber – eighth in hoop and ball, and ninth in the all-around.
  • 24th Portimao (Portugal) Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament: Sereda – seventh in rope.
  • 2010 Montreal (Canada) World Cup Junior Tournament: Kerber – third in hoop, fourth in the all-around and clubs, and fifth in rope and ball; Kincaid – fifth in hoop, sixth in rope and clubs, and seventh in the all-around.

Sereda and Kerber, both 2009 Chicago Cup medalists, will represent the USA in the upcoming Chicago Cup. Kozitskiy and Kincaid, along with Alexis Page of New York City and Amanda Tran of Shoreline, Wash., are the four age-eligible U.S. Junior National Team members vying for the USA’s rhythmic gymnastics berth for the Youth Olympic Games. The Level 10 Chicago Invitational, scheduled for June 27 prior to the Chicago Cup finals, is the last of three qualifying events for determining the USA’s rhythmic gymnast at the Youth Olympic Games.
