Nearly 1,500 gymnasts were in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Galveston, Texas over the weekend for USA Gymnastics’ 2023 Men’s Developmental Program Eastern and Western Championships.
Titles were decided across the Level 7 and Level 8 and 9 Junior National divisions. Competing at the Eastern Championships, Kole Landis (Akron, N.Y./Stumpf’s Gymnastic Center) won six gold medals in his Level 8 Youth Group, and Kenneth Sault (Norfolk, Va./Gymstrada Gymnastic School) won six golds as a Level 8 Junior. Also at the Eastern Championships, New Era Gymnastics collected two gold medals in club competition (Level 7 and 9), while Region 7 came away with two medals in regional competition (Level 8 and 9).
In the Western Championships, Bryce Gehling (Keller, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics) claimed five gold medals in the Level 9 Youth division and Region 1 secured two gold in regional competition.
