RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (June 28, 2022) – Trevor Harder (Winston Salem, N.C./Caroline Elite Trampoline Academy) captured the gold medal in men’s double mini trampoline Tuesday, as the trampoline and tumbling competition at the 2022 Pan American Championships came to a close in Rio de Janeiro.

Harder, the 2021 U.S. double mini champion, posted a 26.600 in his first finals pass to advance in the top spot to a winner-take-all second pass. In his second run, he delivered a 27.400 to hold off silver medalist Federico Ezequiel Cury of Argentina (26.900). Brazil’s Joao Guilherme da Rocha Silva was third with a 24.600.

Harder was also in action in the men’s synchronized trampoline final where he and partner Paul Bretscher (Huntsville, Ala./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) finished fifth with a 43.460. The Colombian duo of Alvaro Calero Ramon and Angel Hernandez Recalde claimed the men’s synchro title with a 48.840.

The 2022 Pan American Championships will continue with the rhythmic competition July 7-10 at Rio de Janeiro’s Parque Olimpico – Arena Carioca 1.
