Norma Zabka

Norma Zabka gave to rhythmic gymnastics by judging and administering positions within the sport for more than thirty years.

Zabka judged four Olympic Games, eight Pan American Games, nine World Championships, and various other national and international rhythmic competitions.

The former competitor and Sokol member served as Chairperson and Charter member of the USA Rhythmic Gymnastics Committee, was a two-time USA delegate to the FIG Congress, and was an accomplished author.

Her most notable literary work was Gymnastic Activities with Hand Apparatus for Girls and Boys, co-authored with Marie Provaznik.

Zabka earned Brevet judge status with the FIG and chaired numerous committees and organizations, such as the Pan American Rhythmic Gymnastics Committee and the USAG Rhythmic Gymnastics Committee. Zabka also served as Vice-president of USA Gymnastics.
