Maximillian Younger returned to his alma mater, Temple University, where he spent 30 years constructing a hall-of-fame career as head coach.
During his three decades, Younger’s teams amassed a 98-72-1 record, one NCAA Team Championship, and six EIGL Titles. Twenty-eight of Younger’s athletes won NCAA individual championships.
The Czechoslovakian-born coach won the 1954 National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches Award, which was the first year the award existed.
