Little is known of Joseph Oszy.
His five national titles in AAU competition that spanned from 1916-1920, as well as his three-year streak of gold at the New York Metropolitan Senior Championships on the pommel horse, show greatness as an athlete, which culminated in his later years as a coach.
In 1936, Oszy was selected as head coach of the U.S. Olympic Team at the Berlin Games.
