A one-time stockbroker and two-time Olympian, Frederick Meyer joined the inaugural class of Hall of Fame inductees in 1959 for his combination of superior athletics, insightful instruction, and precise judging skills. Most dangerous on the parallel bars, Meyer collected a plethora of AAU medals to go with his Olympic team silver from the 1932 Los Angeles Games, giving him a total of seven major medals in his career. Meyer instructed at the Mt. Vernon and Brooklyn Voswaertz Turnverein and judged frequently, earning him a spot in the Comiskey National Gymnastics Judges Association Hall of Fame in 1973.
