Jerry Hardy’s name is not in any record books, and he has no trophy case filled with medals, but his lifetime of work got plenty of others there. Hardy coached, judged, and administered his way into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, making him a key figure in the shaping of gymnastics today. In 1955 he took the U.S. Team to Mexico City for the Pan American Games as head coach, and later went on to serve as a member of the AAU Gymnastics Administration and was an AAU judge. He also served as the AAU Gymnastics Coordinator.
