Kelly Garrison

Kelly Garrison is an accomplished Olympic and NCAA gymnast. Garrison was an eight-year member of the U.S. National Team and a three-time World Championships Team member. Garrison began gymnastics in 1974 in her hometown of Altus, Oklahoma. She competed at the University of Oklahoma, where she entertained a stellar career. She earned the NCAA All-Around title in 1987 and 1988. She scored the first perfect 10.0 in NCAA history. This score came on the balance beam. Garrison was the team captain for the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team, which placed fourth in Seoul. Known for her unique choreography and routines, Garrison has four skills named after her.

Upon retiring from the sport in 1989, Garrison has been working in many fields revolving around gymnastics. She is self-employed as a public speaker, gymnastics consultant, clinician, and choreographer. She also created her own Drug Awareness/Self-Esteem Program, directed to elementary and middle school students throughout the U.S.
