William Denton

During the Great Depression, silver was rare. However, William Denton was able to find it in 1932 at the Los Angeles Olympic Games when he took second on the rings. For 44 years, he and George Gulack stood as the only Americans to medal individually, thanks to the training of 1959 USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame coach Louis Mang.
