As close to a prodigal gymnast as one could get, Kathy Corrigan-Ekas began her gymnastics career at the relatively old age of 16. Quick learning, however, yielded great results, as Corrigan-Ekas collected three Pan American Games medals in 1963. She was also a member of the 1964 U.S. Olympic Team. Not having much experience as a youth, she now owns and operates the Kathy Corrigan School of Gymnastics in her home state of Massachusetts. The school has a vested interest in the progression of youth gymnastics.
