Steve Cohen was a star from the get-go, and his wave of success carried him beyond his college years at Penn State. He won the All-Around in 32 consecutive high school meets and added three all-around gold medals at the Philadelphia High School Championships. At Penn State, Cohen was the NCAA All-Around Champion in 1967 and 1968, earning him the Nissen Trophy his senior year. Following college, Cohen was able to call himself an Olympian when he made the team in 1968.
