INDIANAPOLIS, April 15, 2021 – The International Gymnastics Federation’s 2021 rhythmic gymnastics World Cup series continues this week in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as U.S. Senior National Team members Evita Griskenas and Laura Zeng will look to build on their performances from last month’s Sofia (Bulgaria) World Cup.

Zeng, a 2016 Olympian, kicked off the international season in Sofia with a seventh-place finish in the all-around and qualified to the hoop and ball apparatus finals. Griskenas, who earned four gold medals at the 2019 Pan American Games, finished in 27th in the all-around and posted a top-ten ball score.

The all-around competition in Tashkent gets underway Friday with the hoop and ball apparatus, followed by clubs and ribbon on Saturday. Griskenas and Zeng will participate in Group D, starting at 6:40 a.m. ET on Friday and 5 a.m. ET on Saturday. Event finals will take place Sunday with hoop at 3 a.m. ET, ball at 3:35, clubs at 5:10 and ribbon at 5:45. The top eight athletes in each apparatus will qualify to event finals. A maximum of two athletes per country may advance.
