ESSEN, Germany (July 19, 2025) – Evita Griskenas (Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) earned two top-eight finishes during Saturday’s apparatus finals to conclude rhythmic action at the 2025 World University Games in Essen, Germany.
Griskenas improved her final standing in the clubs final, earning a 25.350 Saturday to place seventh after qualifying in eighth position Friday. Independent athlete Alina Harnasko took the clubs title with a score of 29.550. Later in the ribbon final, Griskenas scored a 24.900 to finish eighth overall. Takhmina Ikromova of Uzbekistan won ribbon gold after posting a 28.700.
The World University Games continues with the U.S. men taking on artistic action July 22-26 in Essen.
