SOFIA, Bulgaria (September 17, 2022) – Evita Griskenas (Orland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) cracked the top-10 Saturday at Arena Armeec and fellow 2020 Olympian Lili Mizuno (Northbrook, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) finished 12th, as the individual all-around competition concluded at the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships.

Griskenas’ combined 119.950 slotted in 10th, giving her the second-best World Championships all-around showing of her career. She was previously eighth in 2019. Meanwhile, Mizuno delivered a 117.850 to claim her highest international total of the season.

All-around champion Sofia Raffaeli of Italy posted a competition-high 133.250 to secure her fourth gold medal of the event. Germany’s Darja Varfolomeev (132.450) was second, while Bulgaria’s Stiliana Nikolova (128.800) rounded out the podium.

Following two days of qualifications earlier in the week, Griskenas advanced to the all-around final in the 15th position behind a three-apparatus score of 89.400, and Mizuno sat 16th with an 89.000. Each delivered improved performances Saturday with Griskenas increasing her four-apparatus sum by 2.5 points and Mizuno adding 2.15.

On Wednesday, Griskenas earned 7th in the hoop final. Both Griskenas and Mizuno were key contributors to the United States’ 5th-place team finish.
