CHENGDU, China (August 9, 2025) – The women’s trio of Olivia Green (Silver Spring, Md./Xtreme Acro), Rebecca Greenberg (North Potomac, Md./Xtreme Acro) and Caylei Caldwell (Villa Ridge, Mo./Xtreme Acro) secured acrobatic silver with their combined routine Saturday at the 2025 The World Games.
The American women’s group clinched the country’s first medal of the competition in China, winning silver in the group final with a 28.670. They medaled just behind host-country China who placed first (29.230) and ahead of Israel in third (28.480). The trio’s podium finish also marks the first time the U.S. won a women’s group medal at the Games.
Also in action in Chengdu were Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) and Nastia Katchalova (Lakeland, Fla./Elite World Gymnastics) in trampoline and tumbling competition. Padilla competed in men’s double mini trampoline where he finished fifth in qualifications with a 52.600. Katchalova finished sixth in women’s tumbling qualifying with a 38.000.
The Games continue with trampoline competition Sunday, August 10 beginning at 2:30 a.m. ET. Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Leah Garafalo (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy) will take on women’s synchronized trampoline, Gracie Harder (Archdale, N.C./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy) women’s double mini, and Kaden Brown (Herriman, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) men’s tumbling.
