MAEBASHI, Japan, Aug. 5, 2018 – Jeffrey Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J./ETA, won the men’s individual trampoline silver medal at the trampoline World Cup at the Yamato Civic Gymnasium in Maebashi, Gunma, Japan.
Gluckstein, who recently won his fifth U.S. men’s title, snared the silver medal with his 58.960, edging out Mikita Ilyinykh of Belarus, who was third at 58.650. China’s Lei Gao took the title with a 61.360.
The synchronized trampoline duo of Paul Bretscher and Cody Gesuelli, both of Huntsville, Ala./Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy, finished eighth in the finals due to a bad landing. China’s team of Dong Dong and Xiao Tu won the title at 53.350. Belarus (Uladzislau Hancharo and Aleh Rabtsau) was second with a 52.500, and Denmark (Teis Petersen and Benjamin Kjaer) was third at 48.650.
China’s Zueying Zhu won the women’s trampoline title, and Belarus (Valiantsina Bahamolava and Anhelina Khatsian) won the women’s synchro crown.
