Aug. 4, 2014 – Jeffrey Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy, and Rebecca Sereda of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, have been nominated for the U.S. Olympic Committee’s July Male and Female Athletes of the Month, respectively. Gluckstein claimed the senior elite men’s individual trampoline national title at the 2014 USA Gymnastics Championships, held July 15-19 in Louisville, Ky. Gluckstein’s total score of 212.925 points clinched his second consecutive senior elite title and third overall, earning him a spot on the U.S. national team and the Pan American Championships team.
Sereda won the hoop and ball events to share the national all-around rhythmic gymnastics title with Jazzy Kerber (Highland Park, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center) at the 2014 USA Gymnastics Championships. The title was Sereda’s third consecutive in the senior division and sixth consecutive overall.
