FLANDERS, Belgium, Nov. 11, 2012 – Cody Gesuelli of Middletown, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy, won the junior men’s trampoline title, as well as a bronze in double mini-trampoline, at the 2012 Flanders (Belgium) Cup, held at the Topsporthal. In addition, he teamed with Joseph Kozlowski of Avondale, Pa./Elite Trampoline Academy for the synchronized trampoline silver. Also women’s national team member Meghan O’Connell of Middletown, N.J., paired with her Elite Trampoline Academy teammate Breanne Hatter to win the junior women’s synchro crown.

In trampoline, Gesuelli earned a 50.335 to take the gold medal, passing by Kips Finney of England Trampoline and Double Mini-trampoline, who was second at 50.265. Brentwood’s Joshua Newman was third at 49.945. His 64.800 in double-mini earned him the bronze medal, finishing behind England’s TRA and DMT Nathaniel Scott, who was first at 68.800, and PATC’s Andrew Houston, who has second at 66.500.

Gesuelli and Kozlowski posted a final total score of 42.400 to capture the silver medal, finishing behind OLGA’s Josh Newman and Robin Hartey, who earned a 43.300. Third place went to Turn Around Bierbeek’s Briek Lismont and Beau Istas.

O’Connell and Hatter accrued a 44.600 total to easily win the junior women’s synchronized trampoline title. OLGA’s Sophie Haynes and Natalie Bailey were second at 42.000 and Flik Flak’s Demi Van Hoek and Jessie Van Ooyen were third at 41.700.

Courtney Walsh, an Elite Trampoline Academy athlete who is not on the national team claimed the junior women’s double mini silver.
