KIEV, Ukraine, March 19, 2018 – Nastasya Generalova of Los Angeles/California Rhythms, finished fifth in the all-around at the Deriugina Grand Prix in Kiev, Ukraine. Generalova also recorded sixth-place finishes in the hoop, ball, and clubs finals.

Generalova’s event scores were: 16.400, hoop; 16.200, ball; 16.700, clubs; and 13.800, ribbon; giving her a 63.100 total in the all-around. Russia’s Ekaterina Selezneva was the all-around winner at 72.350.

In the apparatus finals, Generalova finished sixth in hoop, ball and clubs. She earned scores of 16.400, hoop; 16.100, ball; and 15.000, clubs.

Eliza Cohen of Los Angeles/California Rhythms, participated in the senior tournament held in conjunction with the Grand Prix. She totaled a 54.100 to finish 15th in the all-around and advanced to the clubs final. The final, she earned a 14.250 for eighth place.

In the junior competition, Elizabeth Kapitonova of Staten Island, N.Y./Isadora, and Shannon Xiao of Fairfax, Va./Gymnastics World, finished eighth in the team competition with an 81.750 total. The duo posted the second best combined score for clubs (27.000) and the fourth best total with ribbon (26.500).

Xiao finished fifth in the ribbon final, seventh in clubs final and eighth in the hoop final, while Kapitonova was eighth with ball.
