GENEVA, Switzerland, July 6, 2021 – U.S. acrobats Jaylen Ivey of San Jose, Calif., and Amaya Rogers of Campbell, Calif., both of Aerial Tumbling and Acrogymnastics, took the silver medal in the 12-19 mixed pair division, and teammates Mo Arthur of Rolla, Mo., and Ariana Katsov of Owensville, Mo., from Mid America Acro Tumbling claimed bronze in the 13-20 women’s pair division at the 2021 Acro World Age Group competitions held June 23-29 at Vernets Sports Center in Geneva, Switzerland.

Ivey and Rogers qualified in fourth behind a 27.150 in balance and the field’s high score in dynamic with a 27.250. Their 27.700 in the event final was bested only by Russians Artemii Petrovskii and Alina Vasilevskaia who posted a 28.100 to claim the top spot. Portugal’s Filipa Panoias and Goncalo Sampaio rounded out the top three with a 27.550. Fellow Americans Trent Stoker of Spring Branch, Texas, and Madison Teague of Bulverde, Texas, from Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio finished 12th in qualifying with a 51.710 across balance and dynamic performances.

Meanwhile, Arthur and Katsov improved on their ninth place showing in qualifications (26.100 in balance and 26.200 in dynamic) to secure the bronze medal with a 27.400 in the event final. They placed just behind the Russian pair of Daria Kiseleva and Aleksandra Koriakina and the Belgian pair of Sam Janssens and Silke Macharis who both finished with a score of 27.750. Kiseleva and Koriakina edged Janssens and Macharis in the tie break.

In the 11-17 division, U.S. athletes reached the finals in women’s pair, men’s pair and women’s group. U.S. acrobats also advanced to women’s pair and women’s group finals in the 12-19 division and mixed pair, women’s group and men’s group finals in the 13-20 division.

The women’s pair of Mia Alvarez of Riverside, Calif., and Ava Cabana of Grand Terrace, Calif., from Realis Gymnastics Academy took sixth in the 11-17 division, posting a 26.850 in the event final. Belgium’s Aukje Quivreux and Roos Van Hulle earned the top spot with a 28.100. U.S. acrobats Hadley Milnor and Victoria Notzon, both of San Antonio, Texas/Acrobatic Gymnastics San Antonio, finished 17th in qualifying with a 50.550.

The men’s pair from AGC Las Vegas, comprised of Davis Leavitt of Las Vegas, Nev., and Vlad Studwell of Henderson, Nev., also claimed sixth in the 11-17 division behind a 26.450. Russia’s Bogdan Aliev and Egor Tashlanov took the men’s pair title with a 28.050.

Nicole Powell of Bethesda, Md., Sara Rodriguez of Damascus, Md., and Elise Srsic of Westminster, Md., all of Xtreme Acro, finished just outside of the top-three in the 11-17 women’s group division. The trio notched fourth with a 26.900 after qualifying in sixth. The Russian group comprised of Dinara Aisina, Mariia Fediunina and Ustina Mavrycheva paced the field with a 28.250 to claim gold. The U.S. group of Olivia Green of Silver Spring, Md., Evelynn Plummer of Silver Spring, Md., and Aranel Prevost of Garrett Park, Md., also from Xtreme Acro, finished 18th in qualifying with a 50.650.

In the 12-19 women’s pair competition, U.S. acrobats Willow Noble and Sydney Padios, both of Moreno Valley, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy, finished sixth with a 26.330. The pair edged teammates Ally Stone of Spring Brand, Texas, and Ayla Vargas of San Antonio, Texas, from Acrobatic Gymnastics of San Antonio by just over half a point in qualifying to advance to the event final where Ukraine’s Aihiul Alloiarova and Viktoriia Volkova secured the title with a 27.500.

The International Elite trio comprised of Gia Calo of Annapolis, Md., Sarah Wilson of Annapolis, Md., and Grace Wright of Harwood, Md., represented the U.S. in the 12-19 women’s group final, notching seventh with a 26.200. The Russian group of Valeriya Kuznetsova, Daniela Rubanova and Valeriia Zarovnaiia claimed the top spot with a 28.450. American’s Aaliylah Marie Guastella of Sacramento, Calif., Meghan Gul of Granite Bay, Calif., and Katryna Oselska of Antelope, Calif., from Rodina Elite Gymnastics Academy finished 20th in qualifying with a 50.590.

The U.S. mixed pair from Realis Gymnastics Academy, comprised of Anna Blough of Riverside, Calif., and Carson Breen of Redlands, Calif., finished sixth in the 13-20 division with a 27.340. Blough and Breen showed the highest-scoring balance routine in qualifications, earning a 28.250. Russia’s Aleksandra Bublik and Kirill Chipizubov ultimately claimed the mixed pair title with a 28.430.

Riley Freed of Mount Airy, Md., Jessie Kicza of Woodbine, Md., and Mariam Tutberidze of Owings Mills, Md., all of Emilias Acro Gymnastics and Cheer, placed sixth in the 13-20 women’s group competition after qualifying ninth. Their 53.510 across balance and dynamic performances edged teammates from Emilias Acro Gymnastics and Cheer Isabel Chang of Columbia, Md., Sydney Martin of Glenwood, Md., and Maria Wooden of Derwood, Md., (52.120) to advance them to the event final where they posted a 27.050. Israel’s Yarden Ron, Tamar Stollar and Michal Stratievsky finished in the top spot with a 28.450.

In the 13-20 men’s group competition, U.S. acrobats Ethan Chang, Sam Lacy, and Cade Shields of Columbia, Md., and Dorian White of Castro Valley, Calif., all from Emilias Acro Gymnastics and Cheer, claimed fourth with a 26.850. The Russian group of Maksim Korchagin, Oleg Krivenko, Semen Lvov and Timur Timergaliev finished atop the podium at 28.350.
