FORT WORTH, Texas, April 17, 2015 – Defending co-national champions the University of Florida and the University of Utah posted the top score in the first of two national semi-final rounds at the Women’s National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships inside the Fort Worth Convention Center Arena.



Florida and Utah both earned 197.475, followed by the Stanford University (197.175) to advance to tomorrow’s Super Six finals. The University of Michigan (197.025), the University of Georgia (196.600) and the University of California-Los Angeles (196.400) finished fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.



2008 Olympian Samantha Peszek of UCLA and Florida’s Kytra Hunter lead the all-around standings with matching 39.600 totals.



Competition continues this evening with the second national semi-final at 8 p.m. ET, featuring the University of Oklahoma, Oregon State University, the University of Alabama, the University of Auburn, Louisiana State University and the University of Nebraska.
