2024 Rhythmic Group Open Development Camp

Information

The Group Open Development Training Camp is a development opportunity.

This camp provides an opportunity to learn and grow with understanding Group work at the US Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY. This camp will continue to build on Group-specific development: tossing technique for Exchanges and Collaborations, collective work, synchronization, “team” mentality.

This camp is open for all levels of group experience Group from first-timers through 2023 RGG Development Squad and RGG NT gymnasts. The training will be structured to meet the experience levels and needs based on the registrations.

This camp will be lead by US Group Olympic and National Team coaches and staff and will be structured as all development camps: ballet, body and technique, strength, cardio, creativity and expressive movement.

Camp coaching staff:

As this camp will take place during the RGI/RGG competitive season, gymnasts will have a one-hour open training each day with their personal coach to work on their competitive elements/routines. The entire schedule, not including this hour each day, will center around Group.

Participation with a coach is mandatory.

Registration

Register through the “Meet Reservation System” on the USA Gym website You need to login to the website first.


Entry Fee

$525 per person– athletes and coaches pay (covers meals, accommodations, and training).


Transportation

The OTC will do their best to accommodate flights that meet the guidelines below. In the case that they cannot accommodate, the transportation fee will be refunded.

Note: USA Gymnastics is not responsible for delayed flights that cause participants to arrive after shuttle departure times (minor delays will be accommodated; delays more than 30 minutes will not). Full responsibility for the participants’ transportation to/from camp falls on the parents/club in the case they miss transportation.

Refunds

50% refunds will be provided only in the case of illness/injury verified by a doctor’s note.


Membership Requirements

Athletes: current membership for 2024-2025 season
Coaches: current membership for 2024-205 season with all requirements


Waiver Forms

The Athlete Participation Agreement must be filled out and returned to [email protected] by March 1st for each participating athlete.

Athletes and coaches must submit the National Team Training Center waiver form. This form will be emailed out directly from the OTC prior to the event. It will come from an “assuresign” email address.

***If you have already submitted a waiver this year, you will not need to do this again.


Travel

Airport: Albany or Montreal

For participants requesting transportation, travel itineraries are due by February 20th

Arrival/Departure

Flights must meet the below criteria to be eligible for OTC transportation:
March 7th (by 4:00 pm)
March 11th (12:00 pm or later)

***Please note: participants arriving much earlier than 4:00pm or departing much later than 12:00pm may need to wait at the airport for several hours.
