2023 Fall Acro National Team Camp

Space is limited to 70 athletes with the priority given to current National Team members, then current national team members in new partnerships, ICT, and then other elite level pair/groups.

• You may register your partnerships now. Registration deadline is September 8th.
• Athletes may be registered through the USA Gymnastics system.
• A waiting list will be offered but does not guarantee a spot for attendance.

Training will begin first thing in the morning on September 22nd. All Athlete/Coaches should plan to travel to Kansas City on the 21st (arriving prior to 9:00pm) to ensure that they are ready to train on the morning of the 22nd. We will have 3 full days of camp September 22, 23, 24. September 25th there will be opening training from 8-10am. During the open training session, it is the athletes’ personal coaches who will be responsible for structuring and supervising their own athletes’ workout, but clinicians may be available for feedback.

All athletes and personal coaches will attend a mandatory welcome meeting on Thursday September 21st at 9:00 PM at the host hotel. All camp participants will have two training sessions each day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and one training session each on Monday. Camp will serve as a training and preparation opportunity for the 2022-2023 competition season, with focus on preparation for PAGU and upcoming spring assignments.

Pair groups will be divided into training groups by age group and discipline. Training groups will rotate through the clinicians based on the assigned schedule. Training time will focus on skill/technique work and artistry.

Personal Coaches are expected to attend and actively participate in every session with their athletes as well as additional sessions designated for coaches and coaches meetings. Personal coaches and/or chaperones are responsible for their athletes outside of training times as well.

• Sept 21 – Arrivals. Welcome Meeting 9:00 PM.
• Sept 22, 23, 24 – Four training sessions each day (2 for each pair/group). Training sessions will be 1.5-2 hours in length. 1 additional session (outside the gym) each day for coaches and/or athletes.
• Sept 25 – Offering one morning open training sessions 8-10am departures scheduled at teams’ discretion after training on the 25th

    • This hotel block is specifically for the athletes/coaches/USA Gymnastics Staff. If parents are wanting to book at this same hotel, please book outside
      of the block to ensure that we have enough rooms for everyone participating in the camp.

    • Athletes and Coaches are responsible for securing/booking hotel rooms. Please keep in mind current Safe Sport travel policies.
    • Current Senior national team members rooms will be booked by USA Gymnastics following Safe Sport policies.
• Meals:
  • Breakfast will be provided every morning at the hotel.
  • Lunch and dinner will be provided at the Gym every day during set mealtimes.
  • Feel free to bring snacks or other food items that you would like to have between mealtimes. We will have access to a microwave at the gym and the hotel.

Cost (per person):
Athlete = $400.00 registration fee (includes camp and meals)
Coach = $350.00 registration fee (includes meals)
* Registration fees are waived for current SNT athletes and coaches.

Refund Policy – Full Refund only if medical documents are provided.

• Athletes and Coaches are responsible for flights and transportation to and from the event. Please keep in mind current Safe Sport travel policies.
• Kansas City (MCI) is the recommended airport.
• Athletes and coaches are also responsible for transportation needs around the Kansas City area, between the airport, hotel, and gym.
• The hotel is approximately 11mins (4.9 mi) from the Gym.

All athletes should wear athletic apparel on the floor. The following dress code should be followed during all training sessions.

• Girls may wear long-sleeve or sleeveless leotards, and boys may wear shorts and t-shirts.
• Girls may wear black bike shorts or leggings during training or warm-up sessions.
• Athletes should have their hair secured.
• Please bring your national team warm up that you received at Gym Champs.
• Any other USA apparel you may have, such as t-shirts, leotards, etc. is encouraged to be worn throughout camp by National Team members.

All coaches should wear athletic apparel with athletic shoes to be on the floor. The following dress code should be followed during all sessions.

• Warm-up pants, long pants, or capri length pants only. No shorts are allowed.
• Team polo shirt or team t-shirt. Warm-up jackets are optional.
• Gym/athletic shoes are required. No flip-flops.
• No denim allowed.
• No caps or hats allowed.

All athletes are encouraged to decorate their hotel room door – be creative! Represent your club team, Team USA, pair/group, or any theme you like incorporating Acro! Bring your photos and art materials and other décor and spend your down-time between trainings creating a fabulous door. Prizes awarded on the last day! We have some really great prizes this year! (The hotel is excited to see your creations – they just request no marks or sticky residue be left on the door when you leave.)
