BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Sept. 16, 2007—Kalon Ludvigson of Plano, Texas, won senior elite men’s tumbling and double mini-trampoline, and Chris Estrada of Lafayette, La., and Alaina Williams of Amarillo, Texas, won both trampoline and synchronized trampoline in the senior elite men’s and women’s divisions, respectively, at the Stars and Stripes Cup, Sept. 13-14, in Birmingham, Ala.

 

Estrada paired with Ryan Weston of Chubbuck, Idaho, to win men’s synchronized trampoline, while Williams teamed up with Brittany Dircks of Orland Park, Ill., to place first in women’s synchronized trampoline. Kaci Barry of San Diego, Calif., won women’s double mini-trampoline, and Kaitlin Tortorich of Haymarket, Va., won women’s tumbling.

 

Ludvigson won tumbling with a score of 151.30, followed by Jeffrey Brown of Lee’s Summit, Mo., in second and Chris Adair of Lubbock, Texas, in third. In double mini, Ludvigson posted a score of 143.10 to place first, while Austin White of Irvine, Calif., and Andrew Muzzarelli of Rockford, Ill., finished second and third, respectively.

 

In senior elite men’s trampoline, Estrada finished first with a score of 110.70, followed by Weston in second and Steven Gluckstein of Atlantic Highlands, N.J., in third. Estrada and Weston won synchronized trampoline with a score of 137.90. The pair of Logan Dooley of Lake Forest, Calif., and Gluckstein finished second, and the duo of Kyle Bowen of Middletown, N.J., and Michael Devine of Winnebago, Ill., placed third.

 

For the senior elite women, Williams was first in trampoline with a score of 97.30, while Amanda Bailey of Sundown, Texas, was second and Dircks was third. In synchronized trampoline, Williams and Dircks were first with a score of 121.10, and in second was the pair of Bailey and Barry.

 

Winning double mini with a score of 139.00 was Barry, followed by Sarah Prosen of Apple Valley, Minn., and Aubree Balkan of Carlsbad, Calif., in second and third, respectively. Tortorich topped the field in women’s tumbling with a score of 131.60. Amy McDonald of Allen, Texas, was second and Leanne Seitzinger of Stafford, Va., was third.

 

In the junior elite division, Jane Truster of Lee’s Summit, Mo., won titles in women’s trampoline and synchronized trampoline. Other junior elite champions at the 2007 Stars and Stripes Cup were: Jeffrey Gluckstein, Atlantic Highlands, N.J., men’s trampoline; Savannah Vinsant, Newton, Texas, and Truster, women’s synchronized trampoline; Ken Corner, Comstock Park, Mich., and Zach Griffin, Howard City, Mich., men’s synchronized trampoline; Lisa Van Orden, Pingree, Idaho, women’s double mini-trampoline; James Zielsdorf, Bakersfield, Calif., men’s double mini-trampoline; Elizabeth Flint, Springfield, Va., women’s tumbling; and Joshua Cox, Burlington, Ky., men’s tumbling.
