LISBON, Portugal, March 21, 2016 – Karrine Denisova of Wilmette, Ill./North Shore Rhythmic Gymnastics Center, won the bronze medal in clubs this weekend at the Lisbon International Tournament in Lisbon, Portugal.
Denisova posted a 15.550 to win the clubs bronze. Belarus’ Alina Harnasko took gold, and Yuliana Telegina of Israel was second. Lili Mizuno of Brentwood, Calif./Community Youth Center, advanced to the rope and hoop finals, where she finished fifth and seventh, respectively.
In the senior tournament, Brigita Budginas of Agoura Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics, advanced to all four apparatus finals. Her best finish came with clubs, where her 16.350 put her fourth. Her other finishes were: fifth, hoop and ribbon; and sixth, ball.
