SOFIA, Bulgaria (June 19, 2025) – Natalie de la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) and Alicia Liu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) both advanced to apparatus finals following their performances Thursday at the 2025 Rhythmic Junior World Championships.

Having already qualified on hoop, De la Rosa secured a second berth to Sunday’s apparatus finals, scoring a 25.500 to rank second in clubs qualifying Thursday. Alicia Tan of Australia led all qualifiers with a 25.700 and Farida Bahnas of Egypt was third with a 25.350.

Liu competed on ribbon, where she qualified in seventh position with a 23.800 to move onto the final. Akmaral Yerekesheva of Kazakhstan was first with a 25.700.

Action in Bulgaria resumes Saturday, June 21 with the Junior National Group of Alana Hirota (West Hills, Calif.), Nina Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Ziah Khan (Irvine, Calif.), Leyla Kukhmazova (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Sasha Kuliyev (Granada hills, Calif.) and Katherine Roytman (Chatsworth, Calif.) taking the floor for group all-around competition.
