DOHA, Qatar, March 26, 2015 – 2013 World floor exercise silver medalist Jake Dalton of Reno, Nev./Team Hilton HHonors (University of Oklahoma), won the gold medal on the floor exercise today at the Doha World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The event is part of the International Gymnastics Federation’s World Challenger Cup series.

The competition concludes tomorrow with finals in men’s vault, parallel bars and high bar, as well as women’s balance beam and floor exercise. The USA’s Danell Leyva of Miami/Team Hilton HHonors (Universal Gymnastics), will compete in the parallel bars and high bar finals. The competition begins at 10 a.m. ET and will be live streamed here.

Dalton was the first gymnast to go in the floor exercise final. He set the standard with a 15.475, which none of the remaining athletes could catch. Brazil’s Diego Hypolito finished second with a 15.425, and Japan’s Shotaro Shirai was third, posting a 15.025.
