TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 4 ranked University of Alabama gymnastics team scored nearly a half point better than it did in last week’s season opener in a 197.575-197.100 loss to No. 1 LSU Friday night in front of a boisterous crowd of 12,501 in Coleman Coliseum.

#2 Oklahoma 198.025, #8 UCLA 196.825 – Jan. 15, 2017
NORMAN, Okla. — For the second straight week, the Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team faced a top-10 opponent and 2016 Super Six qualifier. And for the second consecutive meet, the No. 2 Sooners rose to the challenge, defeating No. 8 UCLA, 198.025-196.825, on Sunday afternoon inside Lloyd Noble Center.

#3 Florida 197.600, #14 Kentucky 196.950 – Jan. 13, 2017
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Home and Southeastern Conference action for the Gator gymnastics team opened Friday with a 197.60–196.95 win over Kentucky in front of 7,683 at the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.

#5 Utah 196.900, BYU 194.175 – Jan. 13, 2017
PROVO, Utah – In its home opener, BYU gymnastics fell to Utah by a score of 196.900 to 194.175 on Friday night at the Marriott Center.

#6 Missouri 195.850, #12 Arkansas 193.950 – Jan. 13, 2017
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 12-ranked Arkansas gymnastics team made its home debut and opened Southeastern Conference competition on Friday night in Barnhill Arena. Competing in front of the home fans for the first time in her career, Jessica Yamzon won the individual beam title and placed second in the all-around, as the Razorbacks fell to the sixth-ranked Missouri Tigers 195.850-193.950.

#6 Missour 196.225, Lindenwood 193.400, SEMO 190.650 – Jan. 15, 2017
ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Lindenwood gymnastics team had its home opener on Sunday afternoon at Hyland Arena in the annual State of Missouri Meet. The Lions finished second, earning a victory over MIC rival Southeast Missouri and coming in behind SEC Missouri.

#7 Denver 196.350, Arizona State 193.275, TWU 192.125, Air Force 189.900 – Jan. 14, 2017
DENVER– The No. 7-ranked University of Denver women’s gymnastics team, presented by Your Hometown Toyota Stores, posted a big 196.350 to win its home opener Saturday in front of a near-sell-out crowd in Hamilton Gymnasium.

#9 Oregon State 194.525, Seattle Pacific 189.425 – Jan. 13, 2017
SEATTLE – Returning All-America performer Lauren Glover led Seattle Pacific on the floor exercise, and three different freshmen had the top Falcon scores on the other events, but Oregon State won all four events to win the women’s gymnastics season opener on Friday night in Brougham Pavilion.

WASHINGTON – The No. 10 George Washington gymnastics team captured its fifth consecutive title at the 10th Annual Lindsey Ferris Invitational on Saturday afternoon behind strong team performances on both vault and balance beam.

#20 Ohio State 195.800, #11 Michigan 195.275, Washington 195.175, Kent State 192.975 – Jan. 14, 2017
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 22 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team posted a 195.800 in a quad meet win over No. 11 Michigan, Washington and Kent State Saturday afternoon in St. John Arena.

Georgia 196.800, #13 Auburn 196.075 – Jan. 13, 2017
AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 13 Auburn gymnastics team hosted SEC rival Georgia Friday night in Auburn Arena and the young Tiger squad set a new season best with a 196.075 in front of a sellout crowd. The Bulldogs took the win with a 196.800.

Utah State 195.400, #15 NC State 193.900, Bowling Green 193.275 – Jan. 13, 2017
LOGAN, Utah – Utah State’s gymnastics team opened its 2017 home campaign in thrilling fashion on Friday night as the Aggies swept a tri-meet against No. 16 North Carolina State and Bowling Green in front of 1,819 fans at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Ball State 194.175, #16 Northern Illinois 193.575 – Jan. 15, 2017
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Northern Illinois University gymnastics team (3-1, 1-1) saw its first loss of the season, Sunday, against Ball State (1-2, 1-0) with marginal scores, 194.175-193.575.

#17 Minnesota 194.900, Arizona 193.225, Maryland 192.350, Alaska 188.175 – Jan. 14, 2017
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Freshman Alecia Farina posted career highs on vault and uneven bars, tying for the bars event title, as the Maryland gymnastics team went 1-2 at the Terrapins’ quad meet Saturday.

Nebraska 195.700, #18 Penn State 192.900 – Jan. 15, 2017
LINCOLN, Neb. – Led by a team bars score of 49.425, the Nebraska women’s gymnastics team took down No. 18 Penn State by a score of 195.700-192.900 at the fourth-annual Tumble N Rumble Sunday afternoon in front of 2,213 fans at the Devaney Center.

Pittsburgh 194.025, #19 West Virginia 193.875 – Jan. 13, 2017
PITTSBURGH – Despite a comeback attempt from the 21st-ranked Mountaineers, the University of Pittsburgh women’s gymnastics team held strong over its heated rival, Friday evening at the Fitzgerald Field House, downing West Virginia by a score of 194.025-193.875.

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. — Highlighted by a first-place finish on the high bar from senior Chase Cannon, the 11th-ranked Air Force men’s gymnastics team opened the 2017 season with a strong showing at its annual Rocky Mountain Open on Saturday, Jan. 14.

#2 Stanford 418.100, #8 California 403.150 – Jan. 15, 2017
BERKELEY – The Big Meet is always a big opportunity for California, ranked eighth in the CGA Preseason Coaches Poll, to extend its all-time lead against Bay Area rival and currently second-ranked Stanford. Unfortunately, the Golden Bears fell short of that goal Sunday dropping 418.100-403.150 in the 2017 season opener at Haas Pavilion.

#5 Illinois 412.150, #3 Ohio State 403.450, #10 Michigan 398.100, #4 Minnesota 397.600, #7 Iowa 387.550, #17 UIC 360.250 – Jan. 14, 2017
CHICAGO- The UIC men’s gymnastics concluded its 47th annual Windy City Invitational Saturday evening inside the UIC Pavilion. The Flames finished the night with a score of 360.250, while Illinois took the crown with 412.150.

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Led by Nathan Goff, who was sixth in the All-Around, the Army West Point gymnastics team finished third at the 26th annual West Point Open on Friday night.
