BATON ROUGE – In front of a season-opening record home crowd of 8,228 fans, the fifth-ranked LSU gymnastics team fought from behind to take down No. 1 Oklahoma, 196.950-196.725, Saturday afternoon in the Maravich Center.

#2 Florida 196.825, Texas Woman’s 191.450 – Jan. 8, 2016
DENTON, Texas (Jan. 8) – The TWU gymnastics team opened its 2016 season against the three-time defending NCAA Champion Florida in front of a crowd of 780. The No. 2 Gators captured the dual meet with a 196.825 while the Pioneers finished with a 191.450.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Behind strong balance beam and floor exercise sets, No. 6 UCLA came from behind to defeat No. 3 Alabama, 196.550-196.300, in front of 5,463 fans in Pauley Pavilion.

SALT LAKE CITY – The preseason No. 4 Utah gymnastics team shook off conservative scoring and long delays between routines to beat Brigham Young,196.175-193.850, on opening night in the Huntsman Center.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The No. 7-ranked University of Michigan women’s gymnastics team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 196.925-195.200 victory in its home opener over No. 9 Georgia on Saturday (Jan. 9) at Crisler Center.

San Jose, Calif.–Bay Area gymnastics fans were treated to two hours of women’s collegiate gymnastics Sunday afternoon as the San José State women’s gymnastics team hosted the annual NorCal Classic at The Event Center.

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Junior All-American Madeline Gardiner won the all-around with a 39.225 score but 12th-ranked Oregon State fell 196.175-195.425 to No. 10 Auburn on Sunday in its season opener before a Gill Coliseum crowd of 2,719.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 23 Mizzou gymnastics team tied the highest opening meet score in program history as the Tigers notched a 195.350-195.075 win over No. 15 Illinois Friday (Jan. 8) to open the 2016 campaign.

DENVER – University of Denver gymnast Nina McGee (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored a perfect 10.0 on floor to help the Pioneers win their season opener on Saturday.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 17 Penn State women’s gymnastics team was edged 194.700-194.125 in its 2016 season opener by No. 27 North Carolina State Saturday evening inside Rec Hall.

#18 Arizona 195.700, Michigan State 193.775 – Jan. 8, 2016
TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona women’s gymnastics team opened the season in a big way on Friday. In front of a crowd of 3,707, the GymCats took a victory over the Michigan State Spartans, 195.700-193.775.

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women’s gymnastics team opened the 2016 season with a victory at home over the Iowa State Cyclones, 194.700-194.025.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 4 Penn State University men’s gymnastics team notched a 424.450-403.400 victory over Army West Point at Rec Hall Saturday, Jan. 9.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois Men’s Gymnastics opened the 2016 season with its best score to start a season in program history as the Illini routed UIC by a score of 432.500-374.250.
