BATON ROUGE – In front of an opening night crowd of 10,006 Tiger fans, the second-ranked LSU gymnastics team defeated Arizona, 195.725-195.025, Friday night inside the Maravich Center.

SALT LAKE CITY – Despite struggling to build momentum throughout the season opener on Friday night, the No. 5 Ute gymnasts claimed a 196.425-195.350 win over the No. 12-ranked Kentucky Wildcats before a crowd of 14,417 fans in the Jon M. Huntsman Center.

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The No. 7-ranked University of Denver women’s gymnastics team started the 2020 season with a 196.700 on Saturday to win the first session of the Collegiate Challenge.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The No. 8 University of Georgia gymnastics team opened the season with a first place finish at the Critique Classic Invitational in Kissimmee, Florida on Friday evening.

Illinois 195.850, #16 Missouri 195.600, SEMO 192.275 – Jan. 4, 2020
COLUMIA, Mo. – The No. 16 Mizzou gymnastics team scored a 195.600 in the season opener to finish second in a home tri-meet on Saturday afternoon at the Hearnes Center. Illinois placed first with a 195.850 and Southeast Missouri took third with 192.275 points.

New Hampshire 193.400, Illinois State 189.050 – Jan. 4, 2020
NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State gymnastics team fought through some tough setbacks and got a stellar performance from freshman Angelica Labat in the 2020 season opener against New Hampshire on Saturday evening inside historic Horton Field House, as UNH defeated ISU 193.400-189.050.

UC Davis 191.825, Sacramento State 191.175 – Jan. 5, 2020
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State gymnastics team began the 2020 season with wins from Jordyn Brent in the all-around and floor and Taylor Weber on bars but fell just short in a 191.825-191.175 loss to UC Davis at The Nest on Sunday afternoon.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team opened the 2020 season with a 195.275-191.850 victory against Michigan State on Sunday at University Arena.
