GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 1 University of Florida gymnastics team (2-0, 1-0 SEC) opened league action Friday evening with a 196.775-192.90 win over No. 16 Kentucky (2-1, 0-1 SEC) in front of Stephen C. O’Connell Center crowd of 4,552.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Senior Kylee Botterman won four out of the five individual titles (vault, beam, floor, all-around) to rally the No. 3-ranked University of Michigan women’s gymnastics team to a tri-meet win over No. 21 Illinois and Penn State in the Wolverines’ home opener on Friday night (Jan. 14) inside Crisler Arena.

#3T Utah 195.900, #6 Georgia 195.800 – Jan. 15, 2011
ATHENS, Ga. — The sixth-ranked Georgia gymnastics team led through three rotations, but were narrowly edged by No. 3 Utah on the final one, falling by a score of 195.900-195.800 Saturday afternoon in the first meet inside Stegeman Coliseum in 2011.

Southern Utah 194.750, #5 UCLA 194.425 – Jan. 14, 2011
CEDAR CITY, Utah – Jan. 14 – Southern Utah gymnastics made the most of a home crowd of over 5,000 in the Centrum Arena on Friday night to upset No. 5 UCLA, 194.750-194.425.

#7 Oklahoma 196.175, North Carolina State 195.150 – Jan. 14, 2011
RALEIGH, N.C. — NC State gymnastics posted the highest season-opening score in team history in a losing effort to nationally fourth-ranked Oklahoma, 196.175-195.150, Friday night in Reynolds Coliseum.

#8 Oregon State 195.925, #15 Ohio State 193.300 – Jan. 14, 2011
CORVALLIS – The No. 8 Oregon State gymnastics team a slow start to knock off No. 15 Ohio State 195.925-193.300 in a dual meet at Gill Coliseum Friday night.

#9 Alabama 194.900, #10 Arkansas 194.750 – Jan. 14, 2011
FAYETTEVILLE – Junior All-American Jaime Pisani and freshman Katherine Grable tied for the all-around title, but No. 9 Alabama posted a 194.90-194.75 gymnastics victory over No. 10 Arkansas in Barnhill Arena on Friday.

#11 Nebraska 195.450, Iowa State 194.725 – Jan. 14, 2011
AMES, Iowa—The No. 23 Iowa State gymnastics team was consistent all night Friday against 11th-ranked Nebraska, as the Cyclones did not have a single gymnast fall. Conversely, the Cornhuskers had three gymnasts fall, but did not have to count one of their missteps en route to a 195.450-194.725 win in both teams’ Big 12 Conference opener.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The No. 13 West Virginia gymnastics team used a strong floor rotation to overcome a late deficit and defeat Michigan State, 194.0-192.575, this evening in the first-ever "Beauty and the Beast" meet at the WVU Coliseum.

Maryland 194.525, #13T New Hampshire 192.300, Air Force 186.475 – Jan. 15, 2011
COLLEGE PARK, Md. – With 654 fans in attendance for its home opener, the University of Maryland gymnastics team claimed first place in its tri-meet with Air Force and New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon at the Comcast Center.

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota defeated Big Ten rival Iowa 195.325-194.825 in the home opener tonight at the Sports Pavilion.

BYU 193.075, #18T Arizona 192.725, Utah State 192.000 – Jan. 14, 2011
LOGAN, Utah – Three event titles was not enough as the Utah State gymnastics team posted a 192.000 while BYU won the tri-meet with a 193.075 and Arizona was second with a 192.725 at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum Friday night.

#20 Washington 194.825, Boise State 194.575, Illinois State 188.025, Seattle Pacific 185.825 – Jan. 15, 2011
SEATTLE – In the first home meet of 2011, the Huskies were solid on all four rotations and came out victorious at Hec Edmundson Pavilion Saturday night in a Quad Meet featuring Boise State, Illinois State and Seattle Pacific.

STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 1 Cardinal began its 2011 season by falling to No. 5 California, 349.650-348.700.

West Point Open – Jan. 14-15, 2011 – Penn State, Temple, Army, Nvay, Springfield, Brockport
Day 1 – Jan. 14 – WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army overcame a slow start to finish third in the team scoring at the 20th annual West Point Gymnastics Open Friday evening at Christl Arena.
Day 2 – Jan. 15 – WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army junior Jonathan Hoey became the first Black Knight since 2006 to capture an individual title at the West Point Gymnastics Open after beating the field on pommel horse with a 13.5.

Rocky Mountain Open – Jan. 15, 2011 – Nebraska, Oklahoma, Air Force, Arizona State
USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Highlighted by a first-place finish on the pommel horse from sophomore James Okamoto, the 13th-ranked Air Force men’s gymnastics team opened the 2011 season with a strong showing at the Rocky Mountain Open on Saturday, Jan. 15, at the Academy’s Cadet West Gym.

Windy City Invitational – Jan. 15, 2011 – Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio State, Iowa, UIC
CHICAGO – The UIC men’s gymnastics team opened the 2011 season against some of the toughest competition on Saturday evening, hosting the 41st annual Windy City Invitational at the Physical Education Building.
