LOS ANGELES – No. 4 UCLA went toe-to-toe with No. 1 and defending NCAA champion Florida in the 2014 season opener in front of 5,265 fans but came up just short by the smallest possible margin, 196.650-196.625.

#2 Alabama 197.150, Missouri 193.425 – Jan. 10, 2014
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 2 ranked Alabama gymnastics team opened the 2014 season with a 197.150-193.425 win over Missouri in front of 12,971 fans in Coleman Coliseum Friday night. It was the highest opening score in Crimson Tide history.

#3 Oklahoma 197.700, #8 Georgia 196.500 – Jan. 10, 2014
NORMAN, Okla. — The No. 3 Oklahoma women’s gymnastics team posted its highest season-opening score in program history Friday night, earning a 197.700-196.500 victory over the No. 8 Georgia Gym Dogs in Norman.

#5 LSU 197.200, Centenary 181.575 – Jan. 10, 2014
BATON ROUGE – For the first time in school history, the fifth-ranked LSU gymnastics squad eclipsed a 197 team score in a season opener as the Tigers rolled to a 197.200 in a victory over Centenary Friday night in the Maravich Center.

#6 Utah 196.650, Boise State 195.850, BYU 194.550, Southern Utah 192.025 – Jan. 11, 2014
SALT LAKE CITY–Tory Wilson, a last minute addition to the uneven bar and all-around lineups, won them both to lead the Utah gymnastics team past Boise State, Brigham Young and Southern Utah before a crowd of 14,910 in the Huntsman Center.

#7 Michigan 196.525, Iowa State 194.600, Illinois State 187.400 – Jan. 10, 2014
AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State gymnastics team (1-2 overall, 0-0 Big 12) posted their best score of the season on Friday in Hilton Coliseum with a 194.600 in their first home tri-meet since 2010.

STANFORD, Calif. – No. 9 Stanford delivered multiple highlight performances in its home-opener Sunday, earning an impressive 196.325-196.150 victory over No. 8 Georgia.

#10 Nebraska 196.625, Northern Illinois 192.525 – Jan. 11, 2014
LINCOLN, Neb.- The No. 10 Nebraska women’s gymnastics team swept all four events and the all-around to a 196.625-192.525 win over Northern Illinois on Saturday evening.

#11 Arkansas 196.200, Bridgeport 190.975, Western Michigan 190.650 – Jan. 10, 2014
FAYETTEVILLE – The No. 11 University of Arkansas gymnastics team posted a 196.200 to kick-start the 2014 season with a tri-meet win over Bridgeport (190.975) and Western Michigan (190.650).

#12 Oregon State 195.200, #19 Ohio State 194.750, Bowling Green 191.950 – Jan. 11, 2014
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team posted a 194.750 to open the season in a meet against No. 12 Oregon State and Bowling Green Saturday afternoon at St. John Arena.

#13 Auburn 194.875, Texas Woman’s 189.825 – Jan. 10, 2014
AUBURN, Ala. -A strong score on floor in the final rotation helped No. 13 Auburn gymnastics post its best opening score since 2010 and defeat Texas Woman’s University 194.875-189.825 in the Tigers’ season opener Friday in Auburn Arena.

#14 Minnesota 194.425, Air Force 190.625, Lindenwood 185.625 – Jan. 11, 2014
MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota women’s gymnastics team topped visitors Air Force and Lindenwood in its first meet of the season Saturday night at the Sports Pavilion by posting a final team score of 194.425.

Kentucky 195.000, #15 Penn State 193.975, West Virginia 193.700, Ball State 190.875 – Jan. 10, 2014
LEXINGTON, Ky. – In front of a lively crowd of nearly 6,000 fans, the No. 21 University of Kentucky gymnastics team defeated three teams to win the annual Excite Night at the Kentucky Classic event to open the 2014 season Friday night in Memorial Coliseum.

#16 Illinois 195.352, Michigan State 194.150 – Jan. 10, 2014
EAST LANSING, Mich. – Despite solid performances on the vault and floor exercise, Michigan State gymnastics fell to Illinois 194.150 – 195.352 in the first competition of the 2014 season on Friday night at Jenison Field House.

#17 Arizona 194.750, Illinois-Chicago 190.000 – Jan. 11, 2014
CHICAGO – The UIC women’s gymnastics team was unable to come out on top of No. 17 Arizona, falling 194.750-190.000 Saturday evening in its season opener at the Physical Education Building.

#18 Denver 195.200, California 193.225 – Jan. 11, 2014
DENVER – The No. 18 University of Denver gymnastics squad opened up the 2014 season posting a 195.200 to top No. 22 California in Hamilton Gymnasium.

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – The 11th-ranked Air Force men’s gymnastics team opened the 2014 campaign with a third-place finish at the annual Rocky Mountain Open on Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Academy’s Cadet West Gym.

#3 Stanford 431.100, #7 California 425.650 – Jan. 11, 2014
BERKELEY – The No. 7 California Golden Bears opened their 2014 season by falling to the No. 3 Stanford Cardinal at Haas Pavilion on Saturday afternoon by a score of 431.100-425.650.

#5 Penn State 431.900, #15 Army 410.300 – Jan. 11, 2014
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 5 Penn State men’s gymnastics squad opened the 2014 campaign with a convincing victory against No. 15 Army, 431.900-410.300, on Saturday evening inside Rec Hall.

#5 Illinois 413.100, Illinois-Chicago 393.450 – Jan. 11, 2014
CHICAGO – The UIC men’s gymnastics team held their first meet of the season at the Physical Education Building against Illinois. Despite their best efforts, the Flames came up short in a 413.100-393.450 final to the Illini.

State Open at #13 William & Mary – Jan. 12, 2014
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (Jan. 12, 2014)—The William and Mary men’s gymnastics team opened its 2014 season with a good showing at the State Open at Kaplan Arena on Sunday afternoon, as four Tribe gymnasts combined to claim six individual event titles.
