National Division I

Athlete of the Week
Blessyn McMorris – Oregon
McMorris, a senior base from Lynwood, Ill., competed in eight heats and team event for Oregon last week. Her performance was highlighted by five scores of 9.75 or higher, including a 9.95 in open pyramid and a 9.90 in compulsory toss.

Specialist of the Week
Leavy McDonald – Baylor
McDonald, a sophomore base from San Antonio, Texas, was a standout in the pyramid event for Baylor this week, helping the Bears to a pair of 9.85 scores in the event.

Freshman of the Week
Mo Arthur – Baylor
Arthur, a base from Owensville, Mo., competed in eight heats and team event for Baylor this week, helping the Bears to eight scores of 9.60 or higher (including a pair of 9.95’s).

National Division II

Athlete of the Week
Ashlyn Shively – Lander
Shively, a junior top and tumbler from Pinehurst, N.C., competed in 12 heats and team event for Lander last week. Her performance was highlighted by a score of 10.0 in the compulsory pyramid and a 9.90 in open pyramid.

Specialist of the Week
Alexa Wilson – Fairmont State
Wilson, a senior base from Fairmont, West Virginia, helped the Falcons to a pair of 9.90 scores in the pyramid event this week.

Freshman of the Week
Ady Rothermel – Gannon
Rothermel, a base from Wernersville, Pa., competed in eight heats and team event for the Knights this week, including scores of 9.70 or higher in six heats.

National Division III

Athlete of the Week
Natalie Podsednick – Mary Hardin-Baylor
Podsednick, a senior base from Fort Worth, Texas, competed in 10 heats and team event for UMHB last week. Her performance was highlighted by six scores of 9.70 or higher, including a 10.0 in the open pyramid.

Specialist of the Week
Jenna Hall – Mary Hardin-Baylor
Hall, a senior top and tumbler from Houston, Texas, was a standout in the pyramid event this week, helping the Cru to a 10.0 in the open heat and a 9.65 in the synchronized heat.

Freshman of the Week
Claire Willis – Mary Hardin-Baylor
Willis, a base and tumbler from Waco, Texas, competed in five heats and team event for UMHB last week, including a 9.70 in the compulsory pyramid and a 9.65 in the synchronized pyramid.

Conference Carolinas

Athlete of the Week
Ashlyn Shively – Lander
Shively competed in 13 heats for Lander last week, helping the Bearcats to two program records and another season-high. She was a member of the compulsory acro and pyramid heats that set program record scores of 9.65 and 10.00, respectively. The Bearcats scored a season-high 9.90/10.00 in pyramid heat 3, and along with those three scores, Shively contributed to six other scores that are the highest in Conference Carolinas this season. Those scores came in acro heat 1 (9.85/10.00), acro heat 3 (9.80/10.00), pyramid heat 2 (9.85/10.00), toss heat 1 (9.45/9.90), toss heat 2 (8.75/9.40) and tumbling quad pass (7.650/8.000).

Specialist of the Week
Rhianna Philcox – Lander
Philcox was solid in the acro event for Lander, helping the Bearcats score 9.85/10.00 in heat 1 and 9.80/10.00 in heat 2.

Athlete of the Week
Savannah Duckworth – Glenville State
Duckworth, a senior from Worthington, West Virginia, She is the top for a 10 SV for 5 element Acro performing a toe pitch full off, high hand in hand pike through assisted. She is the top for inversion pyramid performing a high hand in hand unassisted, she is also the top for duo pyramid which is a 270-up straddle on backbend 360 down. She is the top for heat 1 toss performing a kick back double, and heat 2 a top for the back full. Tumbling she is in duo with a RD WH full BHS BHS Full and in aerial pass with a 10 SV doing a whip whip full BHS BHS full. Team event she takes on a lot for the team she is a top for a 10 SV pyramid performing the straddle, she has 3 standing tumbling passes a 10-pass aerial tuck 2 BHS to full, a 9.85 2 tuck 2 hand full, and BHS BHS full. She is the top for an inversion stack pop off, and the top for a toe pitch full off, top for 2 tosses one being a back full and the other a kick back double, and 2 running tumbling passes a whip whip full 9.4 SV and a RD BHS Full. Season highs were compulsory acro, and tumbling, 5L acro, heat 2 pyramid, team event and overall score. Compulsory Acro was also a program record.

Specialist of the Week
Alexa Wilson – Fairmont State
Wilson, a senior from Fairmont, West Virginia, starred in the pyramid event for Fairmont State, helping the Falcons to two 9.9s in inversion pyramid and open pyramid and 9.85 in sync pyramid. Recording 29.850 out of a total of 30 points possible in pyramid event. Helping the falcons to a season high of 271.145. In Heat 1 scored a 9.9/10.0, in Heat 2 scored a 9.85/10.0, and in Heat 3 scored a 9.9/10.0.
