Caden Spencer – Ohio State
Spencer wrapped up the meet against No. 6 Nebraska and No. 14 Greenville with a second-place finish on parallel bars (13.800) and a third-place finish on high bar (13.500).

Specialist of the Week
Trenton Peazant – William & Mary
Against No. 4 Penn State, Peazant won both events in which he competed, as he placed first on floor (13.3) and vault (14.15). His impressive effort on vault was a career high.

Big Ten Conference

Gymnast and Freshman of the Week
Ian Raubal – Penn State

  • Won his second all-around title of the season with a score of 80.700 to help No. 6 Penn State to a non-conference road win at 13th-ranked William & Mary on Sunday
  • Also picked up victories on the rings (14.200), parallel bars (13.650) and high bar (14.000)
  • Tied his career-high score on the high bar
  • Earns his first career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award
  • Last Penn State Gymnast of the Week: Josh Karnes (March 20, 2023)
  • Captures his second Big Ten Freshman of the Week award

Gymnast of the Week
Dominic Ramalho – Springfield
Ramalho produced the best all-around score of his career by over a point as he posted a 79.150 in Saturday’s regular-season finale versus Army. He was second on floor, vault, and rings and was victorious in the parallel bars.

Specialist of the Week
Patrick Armstrong – Army
Senior Patrick Armstrong had the best performance of his career over the weekend, leading Army West Point to a win over Springfield. Armstrong stuck his dismount on rings, winning the event with a career-high 13.6 on rings. Armstrong was also the Black Knights’ top score on parallel bars with a 13.65.

Rookie of the Week
Blaze Kennedy – Army
Freshman Blaze Kennedy won the pommel horse title against Springfield College, posting a career-high 13.6 on the event. This score was the top score on the event in the ECAC over the weekend. Kennedy also had the highest score by a rookie in the ECAC on parallel bars with a 13.45.

Gymnast of the Week
Emre Dodanli – Oklahoma
Oklahoma sophomore Emre Dodanli (Milton, Ontario, Canada) won three event titles to lead the Sooners to a road win at No. 10 California (Mar. 18). Dodanli registered a career-high 14.800 on floor, won vault with a 14.600, and claimed the high bar title with a 13.700. He also posted a 14.000 to finish second (by one-tenth) on parallel bars. Dodanli recorded a season-high 57.100 on his four events, and more than doubled his event titles for the season in one meet. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Dodanli.

Specialist of the Week
Jack Freeman – Oklahoma
Oklahoma senior Jack Freeman (Palestine, TX) registered a career-high 14.350 on vault and scored a 14.550 on floor to help the Sooners to a road win at No. 10 California (Mar. 18). His vault eclipsed his previous career-high of 14.300, and the floor score was his second-highest of the season. Freeman ranks fourth nationally on both floor and high bar. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Freeman.

Freshman of the Week
Theodor Gadderud – California
California freshman Theodor Gadderud (Baerum, Norway) led the Bears on vault with a career-high-tying 14.350, good for a third-place tie in the event in the regular season finale against No. 1 Oklahoma (Mar. 18). Gadderud also competed on parallel bars, high bar, and floor during the meet. This is the second MPSF weekly award for Gadderud.
