Gymnast of the Week
Fred Richard – Michigan
* Won the pommel horse (14.050), still rings (13.800), and parallel bars (13.900) titles in a dual meet win at Illinois
* Ranks fourth in the country on the pommel horse and parallel bars and ninth on the still rings
* Garners his eighth career Gymnast of the Week award
Event Specialist of the Week
Chase Mondi – Nebraska
* Won both the floor and vault titles in a dual meet victory at Penn State
* 14.250 score in the floor exercise is the fourth highest in the country this season
* Claims his first career Event Specialist of the Week award
Freshman of the Week
Adam Lakomy – Michigan
* Scored a pair of second place finishes on the floor exercise (13.600) and vault (14.300) at Illinois
* Scores his first Freshman of the Week honor
Co-Gymnasts of the Week
Jaxon Clapper – Greenville
Jaxon helped lead Greenville to a strong win over Cal Berkley with two event titles in FX with a 13.3 and in PB with a 13.8. Jaxon also claimed second place in Vault with a 14.05.
Jaden Blank – Army
Jaden competed in 5 of 6 events and won his first two individual event titles of his career with a 13.850 on vault (career high) and a last-minute substitution to scorr a 12.950 on the Parallel Bars. Jaden also recorded a season high on FX with a 13.000 and stuck 3/5 of his dismounts.
Routine of the Week
Braxton Jones – Simpson
Braxton ended Simpson’s vault rotation with a huge, stuck Kaz 3/2. He won the event against Greenville and cal with the highest ECAC vault score of the weekend with a 14.450.
Co-Rookies of the Week
Kody Tokunaga – Navy
The freshman pommel horse specialist kept the momentum going for Navy as he led off their PH lineup with a score of 13.35 that ranked him third overall in the field. He had the highest execution score in the event with an 8.95 for his 4.4-valued routine. He finished the event just 0.15 points off of first place.
Noah Doiron – Simpson
Noah competed in the AA for the first time this weekend. His higher marks were a 12.25 in the FX, a 13.25 in the Vault, and a 12.05 for PB. These along with his other events brought his total score to 68.95 in his AA debut.
Gymnast of the Week
Fuzzy Benas – Oklahoma
Oklahoma redshirt-senior Fuzzy Benas (Richmond, TX) scored a 13.950 on high bar and a 13.850 on floor exercise to win both event titles and lead the Sooners to a national-best score of 328.650 in wins over No. 3 Ohio State and No. 13 Air Force (Feb. 7). Benas added a 14.250 on vault and a 13.600 on parallel bars, notching season-high scores on both events. This is the seventh career MPSF weekly award for Benas.
Specialist of the Week
Tyler Flores – Oklahoma
Oklahoma junior Tyler Flores (Mountain House, CA) stuck his vault with a career-high and 2026 NCAA-high-tying 14.550 to share the event title and lead the Sooners to a national-best score of 328.650 in wins over No. 3 Ohio State and No. 13 Air Force (Feb. 7). His execution score of 9.000 was tied for the highest on the event in the meet. Flores also scored a 13.900 on pommel horse and a 13.200 on parallel bars. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Flores.
Freshman of the Week
Colby Aranda – Oklahoma
Oklahoma redshirt-freshman Colby Aranda (Grapevine, TX) scored a career-high 14.500 on pommel horse to win his first event title in his McCasland Field House debut (Feb. 7). Aranda helped Oklahoma to a national-best score of 328.650 in wins over No. 3 Ohio State and No. 13 Air Force. His start value of 5.5 was the highest on any apparatus in the meet, while his execution score of 9.000 was the highest on pommel horse. This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Aranda.
Gymnast of the Week
Izaiha Mlay – Arizona State
Izaiha delivered a clutch performance, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two sticks to help lead Arizona State to victory and set a new team season high. His first-place finishes on both vault and high bar produced the highest scores of the season across all GymACT athletes. Mlay also provided stability on parallel bars with a solid routine that helped steady a shaky team effort and get the Sun Devils back on track.
