Max Odden – Nebraska
Odden earned the award following an impressive performance in a dual meet against Ohio State. Although Nebraska fell short in the team competition, Odden claimed the high bar title and set a career high on floor exercise. This marks the first time Odden has received the weekly conference honor. Against the Buckeyes, Odden won the high bar with a score of 13.80. He notched a 13.85 on the floor and added a 12.75 on the rings.
Luke Esparo – Penn State
Won the rings title and placed second on parallel bars in Penn State’s win over Illinois.

David Ramirez – Ohio State
* Contributed four scores in leading the Buckeyes to a win over Nebraska
* Earned a win on parallel bars – sticking his dismount to earn a score of 13.700
* Placed third on the high bar (13.600), fourth on the pommel horse (12.500) and fifth on the vault (13.950)
* Garners his first career Gymnast of the Week award
Event Specialist of the Week
Jesse Pakele – Ohio State
* Won the floor exercise in a victory over Nebraska with a season-high score of 14.000
* Added second place finishes on the rings (13.650) and parallel bars (13.650)
* Claims his first career Event Specialist of the Week award
Freshman of the Week
Ricky Perez – Penn State
* Recorded a 13.900 on the pommel horse to win his first career event title in a victory over Illinois
* Scores his first Freshman of the Week honor
Co-Gymnasts of the Week
Blaise Rousseau – Springfield
Blaise Rousseau continued to build on each competition this season. He took the event title in both events he competed in. Blaise finished first on the still rings, a whole point ahead of the next gymnast, and finished first on the parallel bars, scoring a 12.95.
Kyler Hinson – Greenville
Kyler proved yet again to be a steady rock for Greenville across four events with an average score of just under 13.2. He was in the top four in all four events in Greenville’s showing against Oaklahoma.
Routine of the Week
Peyton Cramer – Springfield
Peyton Cramer put it together this weekend, just edging teammate Devon Felsenstein for the event title on the pommel horse with a score of 14.45. Peyton broke the program record for the quad with his effort on Sunday.
Rookie of the Week
Skyler Cook – Springfield
Skyler continues competing well for the Pride. He nailed his high bar routine this weekend to take the event title with a career-best score of 13.2.
Gymnast of the Week
Leo Kaoike – Oklahoma
Oklahoma redshirt-junior Leo Koike (Saitama Prefecture, Japan) scored a 14.150 on vault, .100 behind first, to earn second-place and help the Sooners to a win over No. 10 Greenville (Feb. 1). His execution score of 9.450 was tied for the highest of the rotation. Koike also notched a 13.650 on floor exercise to tie for third, a 13.100 on high bar for third, and a 13.100 on parallel bars for fifth-place. Koike ranks eighth on both floor exercise (13.650) and vault (14.150). This is the first career MPSF weekly award for Koike.
Specialist of the Week
Fuzzy Benas – Oklahoma
Oklahoma redshirt-senior Fuzzy Benas (Richmond, TX) won the high bar title with a season-high 14.050 and the parallel bars title with a 13.500 to lead the Sooners to a win over No. 10 Greenville (Feb. 1). His high bar difficulty (5.1) and execution (8.850) were both the highest of the rotation. Benas stuck both of his dismounts on both high bar and p-bars. This is the sixth career MPSF weekly award for Benas.
Gymnast of the Week
Joshua George – Florida Storm
Joshua walked into the EVO Collegiate Meet and made it clear we’re a competitive program. He delivered a strong 12.8 on rings, a solid 12.2 on parallel bars, and tackled other events as well—continuing to provide strong, well-rounded gymnastics for the team.
