Jordan Chiles – UCLA
* Posted the Big Ten’s top all-around score of the week with a 39.575, which earned her second place at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad versus LSU, Oklahoma and Utah

* Paced the Bruins on vault (9.900) and uneven bars (9.900)

* Her 9.925 on balance beam helped the Wolverines set a program record on the apparatus (49.650) at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad against Cal, Kentucky and Michigan State

Quincy Walters – Michigan
* Won a share of the balance beam title with a 9.950 in her collegiate debut

Gymnast of the Week
Avery Neff – Utah
Neff posted a 9.775 and a 9.875 on beam and bars, respectively, as Utah competed against Oklahoma, LSU and UCLA at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah. The sophomore recorded the nation’s first perfect 10 of the season, rounding out the Red Rocks’ vault lineup. It was also her first 10.0 on the apparatus. She then finished out the meet earning a 9.875 on floor to tie for fourth in the event. Neff, the 2025 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, captured her first Conference gymnast of the week honor and her fifth career accolade.
Specialist of the Week
Reese Grolla – Arizona State
Grolla’s debut as a Sun Devil included two event wins in a tri-meet against San Jose State and UC Davis. Her score of 9.850 in beam won the event outright, while she tied with a teammate for first place in bars with a 9.825. The Illinois State transfer earns her first career Big 12 award, while she is the second gymnast from ASU to collect a weekly honor since joining the league in 2024.

Shyla Bhatia – Denver
Bhatia’s collegiate debut helped the Pioneers defeat Stanford 196.575-196.475. The Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania native tallied a 9.800 on bars, tied for third on floor (9.875) and was the vault leader (9.925). Her vault score matched the program record for freshmen, while her score is tied nationally No. 2 in the NQS rankings.

Deana Sheremeta – George Washington
Sheremeta made her all around debut and earned the win with a 39.025, competing on vault for the first time. The senior also won the individual beam title with a 9.850.
Specialist of the Week
Celia Trotter – Towson
Trotter won the beam title with a 9.850. This was her first victory on beam since February 21, 2025.
Rookie of the Week
Aspen Tucker – George Washington
In her first ever collegiate meet, Tucker debuted in the all around. The freshman scored higher than a 9.700 in three events. She also took fifth place on floor with a 9.800 and earned the Revolutionaries’ second-highest floor score of the night.
Rookie Specialist of the Week
Alison Mun – George Washington
Mun made her collegiate debut, competing on vault. The freshman won the event title with a 9.875.
Gymnast of the Week
Liza Marcus – Brown
Liza Marcus was a steady presence for Brown in its season-opening quad meet against Rhode Island College, Southern Connecticut State, and Springfield College, earning Gymnast of the Week honors. Competing on three events, Marcus recorded a pair of top-two finishes, including a win on bars with a 9.800, and helped lead the Bears to a 193.025 team score, the highest season-opening score in program history. She tied her career-high on beam with a 9.825 to place second and added a 9.775 on floor to tie for sixth.

Hana Strause – Yale
Hana Strause opened her senior season with strong performances on beam and floor for Yale against Penn State, earning Specialist of the Week recognition. On beam, Strause delivered a key routine following a fall in the lineup, scoring a 9.775 to tie for the third-highest mark in the meet. She also competed in the leadoff position on floor, earning a 9.750 and helping Yale post a 48.775 team score on the event.

Rehna Saalinger – Brown
Making her collegiate debut, Rehna Saalinger made an immediate impact for Brown, earning Newcomer of the Week honors. She won beam with a 9.850, helping the Bears post a 193.025 team score, the highest season-opening score in program history.
Gymnast of the Week
Luciana Alvarado-Reid – Central Michigan
Luciana Alvarado-Reid won all-around (39.200), bars (9.925) and floor (9.900) in leading Central Michigan to victory in its season-opening tri-meet with SEMO and Fisk. Alvarado-Reid, who placed fourth on vault, is ranked sixth nationally on bars, 17th on floor, and 24th in all-around. She is the highest-ranked MAC gymnast in all three disciplines.

Zoe Middleton – Ball State
Senior Zoe Middleton shined in her 2026 debut, winning the beam title with a career-high tying score of 9.900 Sunday in Ball State’s annual Squishmallows Day competition. The effort currently stands at the best beam score in the MAC this season and ranks 21st nationally. Middleton also tied for third on bars, with a score of 9.825, helping the Cardinals earn a head-to-head non-conference victory over Western Michigan.

Taylor Ingle – Southeast Missouri State
Ingle soared into the 2026 season coming off a stellar 2025 campaign that saw her reach the NCAA Gymnastics Regional as she competed in her 17th-straight all-around on Friday night. Ingle posted a 38.700 including an impressive 9.875 on Bars resulting in a second-place finish. She tied for first on the vault (9.825) and tied for second on the floor with fellow award winner Nyah Reader (9.825). Ingle finished the meet in third place in the all-around.
Performance of the Week
Brooke Ferrari – Texas Woman’s
In the first meet of the season against Pitt, Ferrari led the Pioneers on the uneven bars with a 9.900 to claim the event title. This marks the third 9.900 or higher of Ferrari’s career. Her 9.900 on bars helped lead the Pioneers to a 49.075 on bars and a 195.575 overall – to mark a new program record for highest team score in a season opener and home opener.
Newcomer of the Week
Reagan Sams – Southeast Missouri State
Sophomore Reagan Sams competed in her first meet as a Gymhawk on Friday night after transferring from Ohio State. Sams tied with Nyah Reader on the Beam for a first-place finish with a 9.800. Sams also competed on the floor, turning in a 9.525 in the final rotation. The award marks the first of Sams’ SEMO career.
Coaches’ Choice Award
Nyah Reader – Southeast Missouri State
Graduate student Nyah Reader was awarded this week’s Coaches Choice Award given to a gymnast in the MIC that exemplified quality performance, leadership, and team-spirit throughout the week. Reader, who battled back from injuries in 2025, returned to her top form on Friday night as she turned in a 9.850 on the floor which tied a career-high for the Rexford, N.Y.-native. Reader also took home an event title with a 9.800 on the beam. For Reader, the award marks the first of her career in a Gymhawk leotard.

Niya Randolph – Southern Utah
Southern Utah junior Niya Randolph (Las Vegas, NV) opened the 2026 season with a dominant all-around performance to lead the Thunderbirds over Boise State (Jan. 9). She captured the all-around title with a 39.400, while posting top-two finishes on all four events, highlighted by a first-place result on bars with a 9.900. She added second-place finishes on vault (9.800), beam (9.850), and floor (9.850). This is the 11th career MPSF weekly award for Randolph.

Kayla Pardue – Southern Utah
Southern Utah junior Kayla Pardue (Golden, CO) made a triumphant return to the lineup in the Thunderbirds’ season-opening win over Boise State (Jan. 9). She competed on vault for the first time since the 2024 season, and delivered a first-place finish by scoring an MPSF opening week best in the event with a 9.850. This is the second career MPSF weekly award for Pardue.

Berlin Hall – Southern Utah
Southern Utah freshman Berlin Hall (Gilbert, AZ) delivered a standout performance in her collegiate debut, helping the Thunderbirds to a season-opening victory over Boise State (Jan. 9). Hall posted a 9.675 on vault before closing the meet with an electric floor routine, earning a first-place 9.875. This is the first career MPSF award for Hall.
All-Arounder of the Week
Maggie Slife – Air Force
The reigning Mountain West Gymnast of the Year proved the conference’s top scorer in three of four events in the Falcons opening week. Slife, who closed week one for the Falcons with a 39.425 in the all around, scored the league’s first Gymnast of the Week award in 2026. Slife’s collective performances rank the junior eighth nationally in the all around and makes Slife the highest-ranked non-Power Four all arounder in the country to date.

Aaliyah Krause – Rhode Island College
Krause placed 10th on vault (9.550), tied for 15th on bars (9.000), was 12th on beam (9.475), tied for 11th on floor (9.700) and tied for second in the all-around (37.725) at a quad-meet, hosted by Brown on January 11.

Kiara Hockman – Brockport
Hockman had an impressive performance across three events, helping lead the Golden Eagles to a dual victory over Ithaca at home this past weekend. She scored a 9.800 in two different events, tying for first place on both the balance beam and the floor exercise. Kiara also added a 9.775 on the vault for Brockport, which was good for second in the event.

Kailin Chio – LSU
LSU’s Kailin Chio, a sophomore from Henderson, Nev., was the top all-arounder in session one of the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad with her final score of 39.600. Chio also took home a share of the beam title at the meet after matching her career high of 9.950 on the event. She was one of only two Tigers to compete on all four events in LSU’s season opener, helping lead her team to their highest road opening score in program history (197.500).

Selena Harris-Miranda – Florida
Florida’s Selena Harris-Miranda, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., won two individual titles in the season-opening quad meet win over No. 24 North Carolina, Temple and West Virginia. Harris-Miranda recorded a 9.975 on beam, matching the second-highest beam score in a season opener in program history. She also earned a 9.95 on bars, also matching the program’s second-highest bars mark in a season opener. Harris-Miranda closed out the meet with a third-place finish on vault with a score of 9.90.
Freshman of the Week
Mackenzie Estep – Oklahoma
Oklahoma’s Mackenzie Estep, a freshman from Auburn, Wash., was one of three Sooners to go 9.9-plus on every event they competed during session one of the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad. Estep recorded a 9.90 on vault and on beam. She then earned her highest score of the day with a 9.925 on floor to share the event title with UCLA’s Jordan Chiles. . Estep is the first OU freshman since Maggie Nichols in 2019 to earn all scores of 9.90 or higher in their debut meet (minimum two events competed).

Frankie Jo MacAskill – Winona State
MacAskill posted a fourth-place finish and led the Winona State squad in vault with a score of 9.725 after three Division I Air Force opponents tied for first. MacAskill finished third in the floor exercise and led the Winona State squad with a score of 9.800, and scored a 9.250 on the balance beam to place 13th.

Kaylee Bateman – Winona State
Bateman came in fourth place in the uneven bars against DI opponent Air Force with a 9.800, which tied the all-time individual uneven bars record for Winona State. This 9.800 led the Winona State bars squad.
