Gymnast of the Week
Jordan Chiles – UCLA
* Won every event at the Best of the West Quad against Cal, Oregon State and Washington
* Scored a 39.725 for the all-around title, the highest mark by a Bruin in a season opener since 2020
* Had a 9.900 on vault, 9.925 on uneven bars, career-high tying 9.975 on balance beam and 9.925 on floor exercise
* Helped UCLA total a 49.525 on beam, which tied the school record for highest season-opening score on the apparatus
* Garners her seventh career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week recognition

Ciena Alipio – UCLA
* Earned a third-place finish on balance beam with a 9.925
* Collects the first Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week honor of her career

Freshman of the Week
Tiana Sumanasekera – UCLA
* Placed second on balance beam (9.950) and floor exercise (9.850) in her collegiate debut as UCLA posted a 196.975 to top Cal, Oregon State and Washington
* Her tally on beam was the highest by a Bruin freshman in their collegiate debut in over 20 years
* Added a 9.800 on vault
* Earns her first Big Ten Freshman of the Week laurel

Gymnast of the Week
Isabella Minervini – Towson
Minervini won the all-around at No. 19 Clemson with a 39.200, her sixth career all-around first place finish. In addition, she placed in the top five in all four rotations, having Towson’s high score on all four events.

Specialist of the Week
Robyn Dunne – Temple
Dunne competed on bars and beam, finishing in the top five on both events. She anchored Temple’s bars rotation and tied for first place with a score of 9.825, setting a career high on the apparatus. The sophomore also finished fourth overall on beam with a 9.700.

Rookie of the Week
Brooklyn Thomas – Temple
Thomas competed in three events for Temple, the most of any freshmen and recorded hit routines on all three. The Maryland native scored at least a 9.675 in two of the events. The freshman’s 9.725 on floor was enough to propel her into a tie for ninth place overall in that event.

Rookie Specialist of the Week
Ava Sutphen – Temple
Sutphen shined in her collegiate debut for the Owls on Sunday. In her only event of the afternoon, Sutphen posted a 9.800 on bars which put her in a tie for third place overall on that event. The freshman’s 9.800 was the second-highest score put up by an Owl in the meet.

Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (NCGA West)

Multi-Specialist
Reanna McGibboney – UW-Oshkosh
McGibboney helped the Titans win their season-opening home quadrangular Jan. 3, by winning the floor exercise title and taking third on both the vault and uneven bars. She scored a 9.575 on the vault and a 9.675 on the uneven bars before returning to the mat for a 9.825-point performance in the floor exercise, outscoring the second-place finisher by a full point.

Specialist
Kaelyn Duman – Winona State
Competing at the UW-Oshkosh Quadrangular on Jan. 3, Duman tied for second on the balance beam with a 9.650, tying her personal best.
