INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 26, 2017– The three men who will represent the United States at the 2017 Cottbus World Cup, Nov. 23-27 in Cottbus, Germany, are: 2017 U.S. horizontal bar and still rings champion Marvin Kimble of Milwaukee, Wis./Salto Gymnastics Center, 2017 U.S. all-around silver medalist Allan Bower of Norman, Okla./University of Oklahoma, and 2017 U.S. horizontal bar silver medalist Colin Van Wicklen of Norman, Okla./University of Oklahoma. The four-day competition is part of the International Gymnastics Federation’s World Cup series and features individual event competition.

Fans can watch the finals live online, and information for access will be available at usagym.org in the near future. The competition schedule is listed below, which is subject to change.

Qualifications

  • Nov. 23 – men’s floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings; women’s vault, uneven bars, 4:30 p.m. Germany/10:30 a.m. ET
  • Nov. 24 – men’s vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar; women’s balance beam, floor exercise, 4:30 p.m. Germany/10:30 a.m. ET

Individual event finals

  • Nov. 25 – men’s floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings; women’s vault, uneven bars, 2 p.m. Germany/8 a.m. ET
  • Nov. 26 – men’s vault, parallel bars, horizontal bar; women’s balance beam, floor exercise, 2 p.m. Germany/8 a.m. ET

The USA Gymnastics’ Men’s Program Committee named the squad for this international assignment. Taqiy Abdullah-Simmons, assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma, is the coach for the event.
