INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 29, 2019 – Four-time World-medalist Jade Carey of Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona Sunrays, and 2019 U.S. pommel horse bronze-medalist Allan Bower of Chandler, Ariz./University of Oklahoma, are representing Team USA at the 2019 Swiss Cup, Nov. 3, at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, Switzerland. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. local time, the Swiss Cup is a team competition that features one female gymnast and one male gymnast from the same country.

The countries entering teams are Canada, France, Germany, Korea, Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine and United States. Medals are awarded for the team, all-around and the individual events.

The competition features an elimination system (see bracket below). After the first two rotations, the teams ranked ninth and 10th are eliminated. The third rotation is the semifinals, that features four countries, with two countries going head-to-head, and all teams start at zero points for the semifinals. In the final round, the winners from the semis battle for the top two spots, with the two other countries vying for third and fourth place. Each country’s gymnasts perform one after the other, and their scores are added to get the final score.

Tickets for the one-day event range in price from 33.10-132.90 Swiss francs and may be purchased online. Zurich is five hours ahead of U.S. Eastern time. More information about the event is available on the official website.
