INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 31, 2025) – Jennifer Bortz was elected to the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors as the National Membership Director, USAG announced Friday. Bortz will serve a four-year term in the seat previously held by Kittia Carpenter, whose term ended in 2024.
As National Membership Director, Bortz will represent the interests of USAG members, including club owners, athletes and coaches. She has been the women’s artistic Region 7 administrative chair since 2015 and is a member of the USA Gymnastics Programs Council.
Bortz has been the head optional coach at Centre Elite Gymnastics in State College, Pennsylvania, since 2011. Prior to her time at Centre Elite, she helped coach multiple Olympic and World Championship athletes throughout her career.
