PAMPLONA, Spain (November 13, 2025) – Sophie Bolos (Farr West, Utah/Northern Star Bounder) won double mini silver and Eli Nilson (Draper, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) took tumbling bronze Thursday to kick off the 2025 Trampoline World Age Group Competition in Spain.
2025 T&T Elite Challenge 13-14 women’s tumbling champion, Bolos took silver in Pamplona in the 13-14 women’s double mini final with a 24.200. She finished just behind Abigail Bass of Great Britain in first (24.400) and ahead of Ines Freitas of Portugal in third (23.700). In men’s competition, Nilson won 17-21 tumbling bronze with a 24.700 behind first-place Alfie Collier of Great Britain (25.000) and Denmark’s Oskar Post in second (24.900).
Also active in final competition were Bentley Zillmer (Fishers, Ind./Carolina Elite Trampoline Academy), Matteo Giove (Greensboro, N.C./Ultimate Kids), Zarah Lugosi (Celina, Texas/Eagles Wings Athletics-Prosper) and ZaQuae Carter (Harlem, N.Y./CAVU Trampoline and Tumbling). Zillmer advanced to the second 13-14 men’s double mini final, where he finished fourth with a 19.900. Carter qualified to the first 17-21 men’s tumbling final and finished seventh with a 21.000, while Giove and Lugosi each finished eighth with matching scores of 18.400 in the first round of the 13-14 double mini finals in men’s and women’s competition.
Americans also competed in individual trampoline qualifying Thursday in the 17-21 division. Nate Erkert (Wildwood, Mo./Elite Trampoline Academy) finished 11th among the men with a 103.850 and will serve as first reserve to the final. Jace Williams (Cave Creek, Ariz./North Valley Gymnastics) was 13th with a 103.460, Changa Anderson (Washington, D.C./Fairland Gymnastics) 16th with a 102.200 and Taj Gleitsman (Salt Lake City, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) 19th with a 102.060.
On the women’s side, Kate Arakawa (Celina, Texas/Eagle Gymnastics Academy) placed 17th in qualifying with a 94.710, followed by Josie Bain (Litchfield Park, Ariz./USA Youth Fitness Center) in 31st (91.390), Logan McCoy (Highlands, N.J./North Valley Gymnastics) in 56th (74.710) and Avery Kroeker (Franklin, Tenn./North Valley Gymnastics) in 66th (53.640).
Competition in Pamplona will shift gears Friday, November 14 with athletes in the 15-16 age group taking on Junior World Championships qualifying beginning at 3 a.m. ET.
