COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo – Nov. 4, 2019 — Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, and the 2019 U.S. Women’s World Championships Team have been nominated for the Team USA Awards presented by Dow, Best of October, which recognize the outstanding achievements of Team USA athletes from last month. Fans can vote for Biles online through midnight Friday, Nov. 8.

Biles won five World Championship gold medals – the most since 1958 – and became the most decorated gymnast in World Championships history with 25 career world medals, while also completing two skills never performed by a female gymnast in competition: a double-double dismount on beam and a triple-double on floor, which will be named in her honor.

The 2019 women’s World Championships team of Biles, Jade Carey of Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona Sunrays, Kara Eaker of Grain Valley, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express, Sunisa Lee of St. Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center, Grace McCallum of Isanti, Minn./Twin City Twisters and alternate MyKayla Skinner of Gilbert, Ariz./Desert Lights Gymnastics, won its fifth consecutive team title at the World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany, with a margin of victory of nearly six points, securing the top score in three of the four events – vault, balance beam and floor exercise.
