INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 17, 2007—The 2007 U.S. Classic, the final qualifying event for women’s artistic gymnasts to the 2007 Visa Championships, is July 28 at the Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek, Mich. The U.S. Challenge, an event that features some of the country’s top young gymnasts, is July 27 and 29, in conjunction with the U.S. Classic.  
 
Hosted by Branch Gymnastics, the U.S. Classic opens at 1 p.m. with the junior division, followed by the senior division at 7 p.m. For the U.S. Challenge, compulsory competition is July 27 at 4:30 p.m. and the optional competition is July 29 at 11 a.m.  
 
Tickets, which may be purchased at the Kellogg Arena on the day of competition, are $30 per person for the U.S. Classic and $20 per person for the U.S. Challenge. An all-event pass may be purchased for $50. Admission is free for children age six and younger.  
 
The 2007 Visa Championships, USA Gymnastics’ national championships, are Aug. 15-18 in San Jose, Calif. The U.S. champions for men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics are determined at the Visa Championships.  Artistic gymnastics will be held at HP Pavilion at San Jose, and rhythmic and acrobatic gymnastics are set for the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The USA Gymnastics National Congress and Trade Show, held in conjunction with the Visa Championships, will also be at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. For complete information on the Visa Championships, log on to www.usa-gymnastics.org.
