SOFIA, Bulgaria (June 21, 2025) – The U.S. delegation claimed team silver, the country’s first rhythmic World team honor and best medal finish, Saturday at the 2025 Rhythmic Junior World Championships.

The team of Natalie de la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics), Anna Filipp (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics), Alicia Liu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy), Alana Hirota (West Hills, Calif.), Nina Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Ziah Khan (Irvine, Calif.), Leyla Kukhmazova (Porter Ranch, Calif.), Sasha Kuliyev (Granada hills, Calif.) and Katherine Roytman (Chatsworth, Calif.) claimed World silver with a 143.200 in team all-around competition.

The medal marks the country’s best result since Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) earned clubs bronze at the 2023 Junior World Championships and is the first team medal won by the U.S. at a rhythmic World Championship event. The Americans secured their second-place finish behind host-country Bulgaria in first (147.350) and ahead of Uzbekistan in third (141.850).

The Junior National Group also earned qualifying spots with their performances Saturday, ranking seventh (23.400) in five hoops and eighth (21.850) in 10 clubs to advance to Sunday’s finals. The group went eighth overall in group all-around competition with a 45.250. Bulgaria was first with a 49.900.
