The U.S. took team gold and Natalia De la Rosa (Woodland Hills, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) claimed all-around silver at the 2024 Aeon Cup in Tokyo, Japan over the weekend.
De la Rosa posted a 117.300 overall to win a silver medal in junior all-around competition behind Taisiia Redka of Ukraine in first (117.800) and ahead of neutral athlete Nicole Liauta in third (115.200). De la Rosa also boasted the highest scores on ball (30.900), clubs (29.000) and ribbon (29.450).
The team of De la Rosa and seniors Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) and Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) secured the team title with a combined 373.750. They topped the podium ahead of Ukraine (372.300) and Italy (368.200). The U.S. team had the highest combined apparatus scores on clubs (94.400) and ribbon (91.300), and the second highest on ball (94.750).
In the senior all-around, Keys and Chu finished fifth and sixth, respectively, with scores of 128.950 and 127.500. Sofia Raffaeli of Italy won senior all-around gold with a 138.650.
