PANAMA CITY, Panama (June 15, 2025) – U.S. artistic athletes won 11 medals on the final day of competition Sunday, securing a total of 16 over the weekend, to conclude the 2025 Senior Pan American Championships in Panama.

Women’s all-around champion Jayla Hang (Bellevue, Wash./Pacific Reign Gymnastics) won four apparatus medals Sunday to boost her Pan Ams total to six. She won silver on uneven bars (13.533), floor exercise (13.433) and balance beam (13.233) and bronze on vault (13.133) to add to her all-around and team golds.

Clinching apparatus gold medals Sunday for the men were Brandon Dang (San Jose, Calif./University of Illinois) on pommel horse (13.500) and Junnosuke Iwai (Lewisville, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics) on floor (14.033). In women’s competition, Gabrielle Hardie (Sioux Falls, S.D./Twin City Twisters), clinched an individual gold medal in her international debut, winning uneven bars (13.600). She also earned floor bronze with a 13.133.

Rounding out the event honors, Joshua Karnes (Erie, Penn./Penn State University) took silver on pommel horse (13.267) and horizontal bar (13.500), and Hezly Rivera (Oradell, N.J./WOGA Gymnastics) took beam bronze (13.000). Taylor Christopulos (Layton, Utah/University of Nebraska) was also active in Sunday’s finals, ranking fourth on floor (13.467) and sixth on still rings (13.033). Taylor Burkhart (Arvada, Colo./Stanford University) had qualified to high bar, parallel bars and rings but did not compete due to injury.
